An architect, an artist and an engineer were discussing the merits of having a wife versus having a mistress.

The architect said he would rather be married and build a relationship structure upon a firm foundation of trust and respect.

The artist said he would rather be free to sample the many curves and angles of various female forms.

The engineer said the best of all worlds would be to have both. The other two granted this would be good, but were curious why the engineer thought so. The engineer said that if you had both a wife and a mistress, each would think you were with the other when you stayed out late at night. This way you could spend more time at the office working on your projects.
